Yellow spent the week along the Potomac River in Virginia near Caledon. This is a major concentration area for bald eagles in the bay area. Green made a brief visit to Parkers Creek in Calvert County, then moved west to the Potomac River shoreline of Charles County, MD and near Quantico, VA. Green spent most of last summer at Parkers Creek, so it will be interesting to see if she goes back there soon. The preceeding text was provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
