Bald Eagle Tracking Project - Week 29

The three remaining immature eagles stayed in the areas they were at the previous week. Green is still in the Chesapeake Bay area on Maryland's Eastern Shore. She is in the vicinity of the Rehobeth, Maryland eagle roost.

The other two immature eagles are in Florida. Yellow is still in the Daytona Beach area. Red started the week at Lake Hatchineha, then moved to Lake Kissimmee and ended at Lake Marian. There are several lakes in the area where Yellow is staying and he appears to be moving around checking out the fishing spots. The preceeding text was provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.

With each update, new locations may not be available for each of the four birds. To conserve battery power and reduce satellite communications costs the transmitters are not on continuously.
