Bald Eagle Tracking Project - Week 28 Two immature eagles are still in Florida, one is on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, and we have lost all contact with the fourth eagle. Green has settled in the vicinity of the Pocomoke River near Rehobeth, Maryland. There is a concentration of wintering bald eagles in this area. |

Yellow is still in the Daytona Beach area. Red spent most of the week at Lake Kissimmee and finished the week a short distance to the northwest at Lake Marion. Blue was last heard from on November 17th in Virginia. Either her transmitter has failed or she is dead. We will no longer report locations of this immature bald eagle, unless we receive new transmissions. The preceeding text was provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
