Bald Eagle Tracking Project - Week 18

Three of the four immature bald eagles remained in the areas where they were found last week. Green is still in Virginia near Colonial Beach. Yellow spent the week in the upper Rappahannock River area of Virginia. Blue continues to be found along the Potomac River shorelines of Charles County, Maryland and King George County, Virginia.

Red began the week in Virginia along the James River, but then flew south to eastern North Carolina. She spent a few days in the Tar River area near Greenville, North Carolina and ended the week closer to Pamlico Sound

Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
