Bald Eagle Tracking Project - Week 13

During week 13, the immature eagle (yellow) that has been in North Carolina since August 2nd moved north. He finished the week in Virginia along the Rappahannock River. Perhaps next week, he will be back in Maryland. Red also finished the week in Virginia. She moved there from the Calvert Cliffs area of Calvert County.

Green is still in Calvert County in the vicinity of Parkers Creek, where she has been since the first week after release. Blue stayed along the Potomac River again this week. The preceeding text was provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
