Bald Eagle Tracking Project - Week 10 During week #10, two of the eagles remained in their previous locations and two moved to other areas. Red was still located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Harford County, and Green remained near Parkers Creek in Calvert County. Blue spent the first part of the week along the Delaware River in New Jersey, then moved to the north end of the Chesapeake Bay near Red later in the week. |

Yellow began the week on the James River near Richmond, Virginia, then flew almost straight south over the next several days, crossing into North Carolina. She ended the week by flying west to the Lake Gaston area in northern North Carolina. This lake, formed from a dam on the Roanoke River, is 34 miles long and stocked with fish. The preceeding text was provided by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
