Bald Eagle Tracking Project - May 2004

In May, Yellow remained in North Carolina, along the Roanoke River and Lake Gaston as she has for several months now. Green remained along the Rappahannock River in Virginia with a brief trip to the Potomac river. Red settled in to the area she spent all of last summer in, on the Sassafras River in the northern part of the Chesapeake Bay.

Pease visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
