Bald Eagle Tracking Project - July 2003

Red spent July along the Sassafrass River in the northern Chesapeake Bay where it had also spent the entire month of June. Green also remained where it had spent June, along the MD/VA border on the Potomac and Rappahannock Rivers. Yellow spent most of July on Lake Gaston in northern North Carolina. At the end of the month Yellow moved to the York River southwest of Richmond Va.

Please visit our Eagle Map Gallery to see other maps of the eagle movements. The gallery contains maps of the eagle movements plotted on shaded relief maps that show local topography as well as eagle movements shown on a satellite image of the bay region which illustrates the types of landcover the eagles are living near.
